Boyz n the Hoodie
I have a thing for hoodies. For a start, I don’t have any hair so a hood is a great alternative to a hat and, being attached, I can’t lose it.
You can wear a hoodie by itself, and they add instant street cred – and warmth – layered under a suit jacket or blazer like a waistcoat.
Here are three Australian-designed hoodies around this winter.
Pared back to basics, the Classic Zip-Up Hoodie by Melbourne street label Chapter 11 has three panels in the hood so it sits flat. Simple and subtle – inside pockets! – it comes in grey marle, charcoal and black. $69.
Injury’s Space Hoody, designed by Eugene Leung, has a tubular drawstring hood that sits like a cowl-neck when not being worn. Elastane panels run along the inside of the sleeves for stretch and comfort. $149, stockists here.
Warmth and luxury in a new wardrobe staple: a unisex cashmere hoody by To Sir With Love, designed by Margot Davies. $795.
